Modules and Sub-Sections are, formally, structural elements of the EWP concept. They define how Working Papers are grouped together logically. Conversely each Working Paper must be posted to a logical point within a project that is defined by its parent Module and parent Sub-Section.

In short there is a two tier hierarchy within EWP and users must comply with that concept - see Structural Indexes

There are two approaches for adding to the indexed structure of a project.

• formally adding to the indexed structure
  
• adding a new Module/Sub-Section (or just a new Sub-Section) for the purpose of setting the location of a new Working Paper
