There are two elements to the management and control of templates in EWP

• control of the registration of templates in an individual copy of ACBA-EWP, and
  
• control over the creation and management of templates
  

The user always has absolute control over which templates are registered to his or her copy of the package.

Controls over the creation and management of individual templates will depend on what the package is being used for. For the most part it has been left to user organisations to decide on how to create and manage their template resource. The role of ACBA-EWP has been to provide the mechanics for creating multiple templates within workbooks and for naming/classifying them logically.
