Copying In Documents

For 'Fixed Location Projects', the user will always be asked whether he or she wants to copy in electronic evidence each time he creates a reference in the Audit Evidence Index.

This process literally takes a copy of the electronic file and posts it into a specially created sub-folder of the EWP Project whcih contains all the evidence for a specific module. Click 'Yes' to the above message and you will be presented with Excel's standard "Save As" dialog. Use this to identify the file you want copied in.

As usual, a reference will be created in the Audit Evidence Index. Additionally, however, the process will generate a hyperlink to the evidence itself automatically. Note the hyperlink (in blue) to 'A digital file' below.

The electronic file itself has been copied into the project folder under a separate directory associated with the project module.
