References to Specific Ranges

EWP provides the facility for the user to point to the relevant cell or range very specifically.

When the user first calls the 'Enter Cross Reference' form the Working Paper field is pre-filled with the current Working Paper heading for convenience but you can easily change this.

The 'Enter Cross Reference' form is designed to allow the user to search for the specific Working Paper by using the Module and Sub-section headings as filters.

Once you have selected the Working Paper that contains the cell or range that you want to point to, you may then select the range itself. The default cell is always 'A1', the Working Paper Heading. You can overwrite the reference e.g 'D15' or you can select from the pre-defined named ranges on that working paper.

The example below shows how this works.

Named ranges can be either a single cell or a range of cells.

Remarks

The named ranges selected for the drop down are only those local to the worksheet. Global workbook named ranges are not included in the list even though they mey refer to the Working Paper selected.
